Creation of FULL MOON Hochschule Gestaltung Trier, Germany

  • Hochschule Gestaltung Paulusplatz Trier, RP, 54290 Germany (map)

An upcycling project in cooperation with Hochschule Trier Campus Gestaltung.

During one week boxes full of discarded jeans and fabric scraps were cut op and formed the base of this impressive piece. Students of the fashion and archtecture department had to cocreate to decide on the design, composition and on how to assemble all the fabric into a monumental tapestry. Under the guidance of Femke students learned about the characteristics of denim and how to develop a technique to weave it. The impressive tapestry was finished on the day of the full moon of October 18, 2024.
